What is locQAl?

locQAl (Localization QA AI) is a free tool that automatically checks the quality of translated (localized) content. Upload a CSV or Excel file with source and target text columns, and the app finds issues a human reviewer would otherwise have to catch by hand — missing placeholders, broken HTML tags, changed numbers, untranslated strings, and unnatural-sounding phrasing.

It's built for translators, localization engineers, and product teams who need to QA a large batch of strings quickly, without manually re-reading every single line.

How it works

1. A deterministic rule engine checks structural issues (placeholders, tags, numbers, empty strings).
2. An AI model (Google Gemini) reviews naturalness, tone, grammar, and meaning drift.
3. Results are shown instantly on screen and can be exported as an Excel report.
