Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

locQAl does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or any personal profile information to use the tool. When you upload a file:

• The file is read into server memory to run the QA checks — it is never written to disk or a database.
• Analysis results are kept in server memory for up to 30 minutes so you can view or export them, then automatically deleted.
• We do not build a profile of you, and we do not retain your uploaded content after the session expires.

2. AI processing (Google Gemini)

When the AI naturalness/tone/grammar check is enabled, the source and target text you upload is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. This is a third-party processor; Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Gemini API terms and Google's Privacy Policy. Only the text strings needed for the QA check are sent — no filenames, account information, or other metadata.

Please don't upload files containing sensitive personal data, confidential business information, or content you don't have the right to share, since it will be processed by this third-party AI service.

3. Advertising

locQAl is free to use and may display ads served by Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can learn more or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.

4. Server logs

Like most web services, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes. These logs are not used to build user profiles.

5. Children's privacy

locQAl is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
