Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using locQAl ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

locQAl lets you upload a file containing source/target text pairs and returns an automated quality-assurance report combining rule-based checks and, when enabled, AI review via a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini). The Service is provided free of charge, as-is, with no guarantee of uptime or availability.

3. No warranty on results

QA findings (including AI-generated naturalness/tone/grammar comments) are automated suggestions, not a substitute for professional linguistic review. We make no guarantee that the Service will catch every issue or that its findings are error-free. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any translation before publishing or shipping it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share.
• Attempt to abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service (e.g. automated mass-uploading).
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service beyond normal browser use.

We reserve the right to rate-limit, block, or refuse access to abusive usage.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you upload. We don't claim ownership of it. See our Privacy Policy for how uploaded content is processed and retained (briefly, then deleted).

6. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on its QA findings.

7. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
